TAKING REFUGE (repeat three times)
ན་མོ། བླ་མ་བདེ་གཤེགས་འདུས་པའི་སྐུ།།
NAMO LAMA DE SHEG DUE PAI KU
Namo! In the lama who is the embodiment of all sugatas,
དཀོན་མཆོག་གསུམ་གྱི་རང་བཞིན་ལ།།
KON CHOG SUM GYI RANG ZHIN LA
Who is the self nature of the three jewels,
བདག་དང་འགྲོ་དྲུག་སེམས་ཅན་རྣམས།།
DAG DANG DRO DRUG SEM CHEN NAM
I, together with all beings of the six realms,
བྱང་ཆུབ་བར་ཏུ་སྐྱབས་སུ་མཆི།།
JANG CHUB BAR DU KYAB SU CHI
Take refuge until attaining enlightenment.

AROUSING BODHICITTA (Repeat three times)
སེམས་བསྐྱེད་འགྲོ་བ་ཀུན་དོན་དུ།།

Having practiced the lama as Buddha,

By performing activities that tame beings according to
འགྲོ་བ་སྒྲོལ་བར་དམ་བཅའ་འོ།།
DRO WA DROL WAR DAM CHA O
Their needs, I vow to liberate all beings.

Rain down your compassion and blessings and watch over me.
རྒྱལ་ཀུན་ངོ་བོ་འཆི་མེད་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྐུར།།
GYAL KUN NGO WO CHI ME YE SHE KUR
Deathless wisdom body, essence of all the conquerors,
གདུང་ཤུགས་དྲག་པོས་དད་ཕྱག་རྟག་ཏུ་འཚལ།།
DUNG SHUG DRAG POE DE CHAG TAG TU TSAL
With longing and strong faith I prostate to you always.
ལུས་དང་ལོངས་སྤྱོད་དུས་གསུམ་དགེ་བའི་ཚོགས།།
LU DANG LONG CHOE DUE SUM GE WAI TSOG
My body, possessions, and all my accumulation of merit of the three times,
ཀུན་བཟང་མཆོད་པའི་སྤྲིན་དུ་དམིགས་ནས་འབུལ།།
KUN ZANG CHOE PAI TRIN DU MIG NE BUL
I offer visualized as the clouds of offerings of Kuntuzangpo,
ཐོགས་མེད་ནས་བསགས་སྡིག་ལྟུང་མ་ལུས་བཤགས།།
THOG ME NE SAG DIG TUNG MA LUE SHAG
I confess all my sins and transgressions created since beginningless time.
སྲས་བཅས་རྒྱལ་བ་ཀུན་གྱི་ཡོན་ཏན་གྱི།།
SE CHE GYAL WA KUN GYI YON TEN GYI
In the qualities of all the conquerors and their sons.
ཁྱབ་བདག་གཅིག་པུ་མགོན་པོའི་རྣམ་ཐར་ལ།།
KHYAB DAG CHIG PU GON POI NAM THAR LA
As expressed in the activities of the one pervasive lord.
སྙིང་ནས་ཡི་རངས་དད་པས་གསོལ་འདེབས་ཤིང༌།།
HYING NE YI RANG DE PE SOL DEB SHING
I rejoice from my heart, and with faith I pray
ཟབ་རྒྱས་ཆོས་ཀྱི་ཆར་ཆེན་འབེབས་པར་བསྐུལ།།
ZAB GYE CHOE KYI CHAR CHEN BEB PAR KUL
That he will shower us with the profound, expansive Dharma.
རང་གཞན་དགེ་བའི་དངོས་པོ་ཀུན་བསྡོམས་ནས།།
RANG ZHEN GE WAI NGOE PO KUN DOM NE
Having gathered all the virtues of myself and others,
འགྲོ་ཁམས་རྒྱ་མཚོ་ཇི་སྲིད་གནས་ཀྱི་བར།།
DRO KHAM GYA TSO JI SI NE KYI BAR
For as long as the ocean of realms of beings abide,
མགོན་པོ་ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་རྣམ་ཐར་རྗེས་བསྙེགས་ཏེ།།
GON PO KHYOE KYI NAM THAR JE NYEG TE
May I follow your example, protector,
མཁའ་ཁྱབ་འགྲོ་བ་འདྲེན་པའི་དོན་དུ་བསྔོ།།
KHA KHYAB DRO WA DREN PAI DON DU NGO
And distribute the merit to free beings as endless as the sky.
སྐྱབས་གནས་ཀུན་འདུས་མཁྱེན་བརྩེའི་གཏེར་ཆེན་པོ།།
KYAB NE KUN DUE KHYEN TSEI TER CHEN PO
Oh great treasure of love and wisdom who subsumes all refuge fields,
དུས་ངན་སྙིགས་མའི་སྐྱབས་གཅིག་རིན་པོ་ཆེ།།
DUE NGAN NYIG MAI KYAB CHOG RIN PO CHE
Precious supreme refuge for these dark, evil times,
ལྔ་བདོའི་རྒུད་པས་མནར་བཞིན་གདུང་ཤུགས་ཀྱིས།།
NGA DOI GYUE PE NAR SHING DUNG SHUG KYI
With the great fervor of the pain from the continuous increase of the five poisons.
གསོལ་འདེབས་བུ་ལ་བརྩེ་བས་མྱུར་དུ་གཟིགས།།
SOL DEB BU LA TSE WE NYUR DU ZIG
I pray that you will watch over me with love.
དགོངས་པའི་ཀློང་ནས་ཐུགས་རྗེའི་རྩལ་ཕྱུངས་ལ།།
GONG PAI LONG NE THUG JEI TSAL CHUNG LA
With the overflow of the activity of your compassion from the vast nature of your understanding,
མོས་ལྡན་བདག་གི་སྙིང་ལ་བྱིན་གྱིས་རློབས།།
MOE DEN DAG GI NYING LA JIN GYI LOB
I pray that you will bless the heart of this aspirant,
རྟགས་དང་མཚན་མ་མྱུར་དུ་བསྟན་པ་དང༌།།
TAG DANG TSAN MA NYUR DU TEN PA DANG
Show the signs and characteristics of development
མཆོག་དང་ཐུན་མོང་དངོས་གྲུབ་སྩལ་དུ་གསོལ།།
CHOG DANG THUN MONG NGOE DRUB TSAL DU SOL
And confer supreme and mundane realizations.
ཧཱུཾ༔ ཨོ་རྒྱན་ཡུལ་གྱི་ནུབ་བྱང་མཚམས༔
HUNG O GYEN YUL GYI NUB JAANG TSHAM
HUNG! On the north west border on country of Oddiyana,
པདྨ་གེ་སར་སྡོང་པོ་ལ༔
PE MA GE SAR DONG PO LA
In the pollen heart of the lotus,
ཡ་མཚན་མཆོག་གི་དངོས་གྲུབ་བརྙེས༔
YA TSAN CHOG GI NGO DRUB NYE
Marvellous in the perfection of your attainment,
པདྨ་འབྱུང་གནས་ཞེས་སུ་གྲགས༔
PE MA JUNG NE ZHE SU DRAG
You are known as the Lotus Born
འཁོར་དུ་མཁའ་འགྲོ་མང་པོས་བསྐོར༔
KHOR DU KHA DRO MANG POE KOR
And are surrounded by your circle of many dakinis.
ཁྱེད་ཀྱི་རྗེས་སུ་བདག་སྒྲུབ་ཀྱིས༔
KHYI KYI JE SU DAG DRUB KYI
By following in your footsteps
བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབ་ཕྱིར་གཤེགས་སུ་གསོལ༔
JIN GYI LOB CHIR SHEG SU SOL
I pray that you will come to confer your blessings.
གུ་རུ་པདྨ་སིདྡྷི་ཧཱུཾ༔
GU RU PE MA SI DHI HUNG.
ཞེས་བྱས་ལ་ཚིག་བདུན་གསོལ་འདེབས་ཅི་ནུས་སུ་འདོན། ཞེས་མོས་གུས་ཀྱི་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་པས་བླ་མ་ཡབ་ཡུམ་གྱི་སྦྱོར་མཚམས་དང་ཐུགས་ཀ་ནས་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་འོད་ཟེར་སྣ་ལྔ་པ་ཐག་ལྟར་བསྐྱངས་ནས་རང་གི་སྙིང་ཁར་ཐིམ་པས་རྒྱུད་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབ་པར་བསམ།
Recite the Seven line prayer as much as you can. By the devotion of one’s prayer, light rays of five colors are extended like tethers from the union and the heart of the male and female gurus together, and dissolve into one’s heart conferring blessings.
ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུཾ་བཛྲ་གུ་རུ་པདྨ་སིདྡྷི་ཧཱུཾ༔
OM AH HUNG BENZA GURU PE MA SI DHI HUNG
བཛྲ་གུ་རུ་ཅི་རིགས་སུ་བཟླ། ཐུན་མཐར།
Recite the Vajra Guru Mantra as much as you like. At the end of the meditation session.
བླ་མའི་གནས་གསུམ་ཡི་གེ་འབྲུ་གསུམ་ལས།།
LA MAI NE SUM YI GE DRU SUM LE
From the three syllables in the lama’s three places,
འོད་ཟེར་དཀར་དམར་མཐིང་གསུམ་བྱུང་ནས་སུ།།
O ZER KAR MAR THING SUM JUNG NE SU
White, red and blue light rays radiate,
རང་གི་སྙིང་ཁར་ཐིམ་པས་སྒོ་གསུམ་གྱི།།
RANG GI NE SUM THIM PE GO SUM GYI
Dissolving into one’s own three places, purifying the obscurations,
སྒྲིབ་སྦྱང་སྐུ་གསུང་ཐུགས་ཀྱི་རྡོ་རྗེར་གྱུར།།
DRIB JANG KU SUNG THUG KYI DOR JER GYUR
of one’s three doors and transforming them into the vajra body, speech and mind.
མཐར་ནི་བླ་མ་འཁོར་བཅས་འོད་དུ་ཞུ།།
THAR NI LA MA KHOR CHE O DU ZHU
Afterwards, the lama and retinue dissolve into light.
དཀར་དམར་ཐིག་ལེ་ཧཱུྃ་གིས་མཚན་པ་རུ།།
KAR MAR THIG LE HUNG GI TSAN PA RU
And in the form of red and white spheres marked with Hung
རང་གི་སྙིང་ཁར་ཐིམ་པས་བླ་མའི་ཐུགས།།
RANG GE NYING KHAR THIM PE LA MAI THUG
They are absorbed into one’s heart; and the Lama’s mind
རང་སེམས་དབྱེར་མེད་ལྷན་སྐྱེས་ཆོས་སྐུར་གནས།།
RANG SEM YER ME LHEN KYE CHOE KUR NE
and mine become one, inseparable in the dharmakaya.

ཞེས་བྱས་ལ་ཚིག་བདུན་གསོལ་འདེབས་ཅི་ནུས་སུ་འདོན། ཞེས་མོས་གུས་ཀྱི་གསོལ་བ་བཏབ་པས་བླ་མ་ཡབ་ཡུམ་གྱི་སྦྱོར་མཚམས་དང་ཐུགས་ཀ་ནས་ཡེ་ཤེས་ཀྱི་འོད་ཟེར་སྣ་ལྔ་པ་ཐག་ལྟར་བསྐྱངས་ནས་རང་གི་སྙིང་ཁར་ཐིམ་པས་རྒྱུད་བྱིན་གྱིས་བརླབ་པར་བསམ།
Recite the Seven line prayer as much as you can. By the devotion of one’s prayer, light rays of five colors are extended like tethers from the union and the heart of the male and female gurus together, and dissolve into one’s heart conferring blessings.

From the three syllables in the lama’s three places,
འོད་ཟེར་དཀར་དམར་མཐིང་གསུམ་བྱུང་ནས་སུ།།
O ZER KAR MAR THING SUM JUNG NE SU
White, red and blue light rays radiate,
རང་གི་སྙིང་ཁར་ཐིམ་པས་སྒོ་གསུམ་གྱི།།
RANG GI NE SUM THIM PE GO SUM GYI
Dissolving into one’s own three places, purifying the obscurations,
སྒྲིབ་སྦྱང་སྐུ་གསུང་ཐུགས་ཀྱི་རྡོ་རྗེར་གྱུར།།
DRIB JANG KU SUNG THUG KYI DOR JER GYUR
of one’s three doors and transforming them into the vajra body, speech and mind.
མཐར་ནི་བླ་མ་འཁོར་བཅས་འོད་དུ་ཞུ།།
THAR NI LA MA KHOR CHE O DU ZHU
Afterwards, the lama and retinue dissolve into light.
དཀར་དམར་ཐིག་ལེ་ཧཱུྃ་གིས་མཚན་པ་རུ།།
KAR MAR THIG LE HUNG GI TSAN PA RU
And in the form of red and white spheres marked with Hung
རང་གི་སྙིང་ཁར་ཐིམ་པས་བླ་མའི་ཐུགས།།
RANG GE NYING KHAR THIM PE LA MAI THUG
They are absorbed into one’s heart; and the Lama’s mind
རང་སེམས་དབྱེར་མེད་ལྷན་སྐྱེས་ཆོས་སྐུར་གནས།།
RANG SEM YER ME LHEN KYE CHOE KUR NE
and mine become one, inseparable in the dharmakaya.

ཞེས་བརྗོད་ལ་ཡེ་ནས་བཅོས་བསྒྱུར་སྤངས་བླངས་ལས་འདས་པ་རང་གི་སེམས་ཉིད་གདོད་མའི་ཆོས་སྐུ་ཆེན་པོའི་རང་ཞལ་བལྟ། སླར་སྒྱུ་མ་ལྟ་བུའི་སྣང་བ་ཐམས་ཅད་བླ་མའི་རང་བཞིན་དུ་བལྟས་ལ་དགེ་བ་བསྔོ་ཞིང་ཤེས་པ་བརྗོད་པས་བདེ་ལེགས་སུ་བྱའོ།། ཞེས་པའང་ཐམས་ཅད་འདུལ་ཞེས་པའི་གྲོ་བཞིན་ཟླ་བའི་ཡར་ཆེས་བརྒྱད་ལ་ཚེ་རབས་ཐམས་ཅད་དུ་གུ་རུ་པདྨའི་བྲན་དུ་སྨོན་ལམ་འདེབས་པ་མི་ཕམ་རྣམ་པར་རྒྱལ་བའི་ཡིད་ཀྱི་མཚོ་ལས་བྱུང་བ་དགེའོ།། མངྒ་ལཾ།
Say A Ah and look into the face of the mind, which is beyond rejecting and accepting, beginningless and uncreated the great dharmakaya, in which all appearance is like illusion.
End the practice well by recognizing all illusory appearance as the nature of the lama, dedicating the merit and making a prayer of prosperity.
On the eighth day of the waxing moon of the Dorshin month called, “training All Beings,” I , Mipham Namgyal, wrote this from the lake of my mind with a prayer to follow Guru Padma all my lifetimes.

འགྲོ་བ་གཅིག་ཀྱང་མ་ལུས་པ། །
DROWA CHIKYANG MALUPA དེ་ཡི་ས་ལ་འགོད་པར་ཤོག །
DEYI SALA GODPAR SHOK And place every single being in his state.
བཀྲ་ཤིས་ནི། ། Prayer for Auspiciousness :
རྩ་བརྒྱུད་བླ་མའི་བྱིན་རླབས་སྙིང་ལ་ཞུགས། །
TSAGYUD LAMAI JINLAB NYINGLA ZHUG May the blessings of the root and lineage gurus enter the heart.

YIDAM KHADRO LUDANG DRIBZHIN DROKMay the deities and dakinis accompany us like the shadow follows a body.

JIGDRAL NGAGYUR TENPAI GYALTSEN DRENG May the fearless banner of Ngagyur teachings arise,
ལུང་རྟོགས་ཆོས་ཀྱི་རྒྱལ་རྔ་ཕྱོགས་ཀུན་བསྒྲགས། །
LUNGTOGS CHOSKYI GYALNGA SHOKKUNDRAK And the drum of doctrinal and practical teachings resound in all direction.
རིག་ལམ་སེངྒེའི་ང་རོས་ས་གསུམ་ཁྱབ། །
RIGLAM SENGE NGAROS SASUK KHYB May the lion’s roar of reasoning
མཚུངས་མེད་དགེ་མཚན་སྣང་བས་ཁྱབ་གྱུར་ཅིག །
TSUNGMED GETSAN NGANGWA I KYABGYUR CHIGand the light of incomparable good spread all over.

Dispel the evil foe of clinging to duality in the sphere of reality,

And sate your heart with great bless of equanimity

Take leftovers of the feast flavoured with flesh and blood.
སྔོན་གྱི་དམ་བཅའ་ཇི་བཞིན་དུ། །
NGONGYI DAMCHA JIZHIN DU
In accordance with earlier promises,
བསྟན་དགྲ་དམ་ཉམས་ཟས་སུ་ཟོས། །
TENDRA DAM/YAM ZESU ZOS,
Devour the foes of Buddhadharma and samaya violators.
རྟགས་དང་མཚན་མ་མྱུར་དུ་སྟོན། །
TAGDANG TSANMA NYURDU TON
Show us the signs and marks[of accomplishment] swiftly,
བསྒྲུབ་པའི་བར་ཆད་བཟློག་པ་དང་། །
DRUBPAI FARCHAD DHOKPA DANG
And stop the hindrance of practice. Accomplish the assingned activities undeterred.
ཕྲིན་ལས་ཐོག་མེད་འགྲུབ་པར་མཛོད། །

May we delight in the inexhaustible treasury.

Obtaining the light of trancendentel wisdom,

Oldage, illness and death are raging.

May we enjoy the excellence of Dharma without separation from the noble master.
